The aforementioned temple is one of the prominent and ancient temples situated in the village called Anthinad which is in Meenachil Taluk of Kottayam District. Along with Lord Siva, the Goddess “bhadrakali” is also been worshiped here. Location of the temple is about 6 kilo metres from Pala towards Thodupuzha, which is in the banks of Punalur-Muvattupuzha highway. We have Lord Siva facing towards East and Goddess Parvathi Devi facing towards west.

Sri Puthiyakavil Bhagavathi

There is a small temple for Puthiyakavu BHagavathi, this temple is located at the western side of Siva temple. This idol is considered as important as the Lord Siva. This Devi is considered to be the daughter of Lord Siva. The land where this Devi temple located is believed to be farm land several years ago and public used to conduct Devi Kalam Pattu ceremonies at this place and eventually the presence of Devi at this place came up in no time. It is believed that The Power of Devi came from another temple at Pala Kizhathadiyoor, through a holy messenger. Worshipping this Devi is very effective for tackling enemies and disease cureness. Payasam, Hibiscus garland, kalam burning are major offerings of this temple.
